Devotionals

The weight of an uncertain future can feel like a crushing pressure in our chests, especially when the bank account feels fragile and the path ahead remains obscured by fog. It is human to crave security and to fear the lack of provision, and we often find ourselves pacing the floor of our minds, trying to solve problems that have not yet arrived. This anxiety is a heavy burden, one that speaks louder than our faith when the bills pile up and the horizon looks dim. We acknowledge the reality of this fear; it is a sharp, stinging companion that tempts us to look at our hands rather than the hand of the Father. Yet, we are called to something far more radical than mere worry management. We are invited to shift our gaze from the fluctuating economy of this world to the unshakeable, eternal Kingdom of God. The promise of the Gospel is not that we will never face a season of lack, but that we never face it alone or without a Shepherd who knows exactly what we need before we even ask. Our security is not held in a savings account or a professional trajectory, but in the sovereign providence of the One who clothes the lilies of the field and sustains the sparrow. When we choose to seek His righteousness above our own comfort, we align ourselves with a truth that never fades: the future is already in His hands, and He is already there.
