The Basics of Salvation
We need saving
Every person has sinned — meaning we've all fallen short of God's perfect standard. Sin separates us from Him. This is why we can't "earn" our way to God by being good enough.
Jesus made a way
God sent Jesus to take our place — His death paid the price for our sin, and His resurrection opened the door for us to have new life, forgiveness, and a restored relationship with God.
We respond personally
Salvation is a gift, but like any gift, it must be received.
- • Believing Jesus is Lord
- • Believing He died and rose again
- • Surrendering our life to Him
- • Asking Him to forgive us and make us new
It's not about perfect words. It's about a sincere heart.
A Simple Salvation Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come to You today because I need You.
I believe You died for my sins and rose again.
Please forgive me, wash me clean, and make me new.
I surrender my life to You.
Be my Lord, my Savior, and my guide.
Thank You for saving me and calling me Yours.
Amen.
